Penny's first self-titled full-length album recorded as a three-piece.

This was recorded hot off the heels of Jordan and Liz's previous band FLEASPOON disbanding and has a few FLEASPOON songs and a song by Jordan's even-older band 2009, a song from Liz's very-cool old hardcore band WW, and (jesus) yet-another song from an old band of Jordan and Liz's that will remain unnamed.

Liz had strep during this recording and you can feel the fucked-upness come through the vocal track. Liz later got a life-threatening infection from the amount of antibiotics needed to counteract the vocal takes.

This was recorded in the Duncanson family home (as featured in the movie FUNNY PAGES) in Yonkers between Christmas and New Year's 2018.

The album was released by Let's Pretend Records (LPR-195) but we wonder if LPR ever even listened to it, when we notice tags on the bandcamp page like "folk punk". This is likely our own fault though, as when we were prompted to send in a one-sheet we sent a PENNY PUNKS acrostic announcing the release, with a music note border, and some copy to the effect of...
"A hard-hitting mix of eating chips and eating candy, PENNY is part friends and part family."

I would've hated us too.
